About the Role

We’re seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Head of Game Mathematics to own the math vision for our client’s slot games.

This is a replacement role where you’ll manage and mentor the existing mathematician—while also remaining very hands-on in designing, testing, and innovating math models yourself.

In a startup environment, you won’t just delegate—you’ll be directly responsible for building and refining the models that power the games. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both leading and doing: setting the math strategy while also rolling up their sleeves and getting deep into the numbers.

What You’ll Do

• Design & Build – Personally develop slot math models that are robust, fair, and engaging.

• Lead & Mentor – Guide the in-house mathematician, raising standards for creativity and precision.

• Validate & Certify – Get hands-on with testing and compliance to ensure accuracy and regulatory approval.

• Collaborate – Work closely with producers, designers, and developers to align math with creative vision and business goals.

• Innovate – Research, experiment, and push boundaries with new mechanics and features.

• Document & Communicate – Create clear documentation and explain complex math concepts across teams.

About You

• iGaming Expertise – 5+ years of proven experience in slot game mathematics within a studio (essential).

• Proven Track Record – Successful slot titles with math you designed or led.

• Hands-On by Nature – Comfortable managing, but thrive on actually doing the math and getting into the detail.

• Technical Skills – Advanced Excel; programming/simulation (Python, C#, or similar).

• Probability & Statistics – Deep applied knowledge in slot mechanics.

• Compliance Knowledge – Familiar with certification and regulatory standards.

• Startup Mindset – Flexible, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, small-team environment.

• Great Communicator – Fluent English, able to bridge technical and creative discussions.
